Design Upgrade to Attract more Visitors<\/h1><\/div>

The Fisheries and Maritime Museum in Esbjerg, in collaboration with Morningtrain, has developed a new website with a focus on creating a visual platform to inspire users online and attract more visits to the museum.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Problem<\/p>

The current website was visually outdated, and there were several functional limitations in meeting the current needs for digital communication and inspiration for museum visitors.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Plan<\/p>

The website was to be built with WordPress as the CMS, allowing the Fisheries and Maritime Museum to maintain the information continuously. The design was intended to inspire visitors to want to visit the museum. <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Result<\/p>

The website is designed with a modern expression, prominently featuring the museum’s impressive visual materials. Visitors can now find information on everything from opening hours to the caf\u00e9 menu and upcoming exhibitions. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

Features<\/p>

Plan your Visit to the Museum<\/h2>
<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Many users of a museum’s website primarily visit because they are considering visiting the museum and are looking for relevant information to plan their future visit. Therefore, it was important to implement a calendar feature to display day-to-day activities, allowing guests to know in advance what they might want to see at the museum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, a “plan your visit” page was created, containing important practical information about the museum, where many of the guests’ questions can be answered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should hunger strike during the visit, a caf\u00e9 page was also created, allowing visitors to see in advance what dishes they could purchase during their visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\nSee the solution<\/span>

Collaboration & budget management<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ongoing discussions about needs and possibilities versus budget<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the key points in the collaboration between the Fisheries and Maritime Museum and Morningtrain was to maintain a good ongoing dialogue and discussion about wishes and needs in relation to budget possibilities.

It is always a challenge to get the most out of a budget, and therefore there was close collaboration throughout the process to create the best solutions based on the financial budget allocated for the solution – and this was achieved. <\/p>\n<\/div>
