Design and development<\/p>

New website for Tirpitz Museum<\/h1><\/div>

Vardemuseerne wanted a redesign of their existing website for their museum, Tirpitz. There was a strong need to elevate the visual experience digitally so it matched what visitors experience when they arrive at the museum. <\/p><\/div><\/div>

Problem<\/p>

Tirpitz Museum had an existing website that did not visually match the reality of visiting the museum. In addition, there was a lack of a consistent thread between the digital experience and the museum as a whole. <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Plan<\/p>

The project began with a concept phase, where we brainstormed what a consistent thread between the digital and the physical museum could look like. Several strong solutions emerged, which were later incorporated into the design. We also looked at how the museum\u2019s visual identity could be used more effectively digitally. <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Result<\/p>

Tirpitz Museum launched a new, visually striking website. The website includes, among other things, interactive details that give visitors the same digital experience as what they will experience at the museum. In addition, several visual details were created based on the visual identity and the museum\u2019s architecture. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

Experience the museum digitally<\/p>

We incorporated unique details from the museum into the solution<\/h2>

Tirpitz Museum is a new and modern museum offering several interactive experiences.
In the concept phase, we agreed to try to incorporate some of these interactive experiences directly on the website, so visitors could enter the museum\u2019s universe from their laptop at home on the sofa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One example is our use of video elements throughout the site. In addition, on the homepage we created a \u201cslider\u201d with audio cards featuring some of the stories you hear when visiting the museum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The colours chosen for the solution were selected specifically to create the same atmosphere you encounter at Tirpitz. This creates a strong common thread from the first visit to the website through to the moment you arrive at the museum. <\/p>\n\n\n\nView the website solution<\/span>

Future-proofing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A technically and commercially future-proof web solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An important element of the web development was to future-proof the web solution both technically and commercially. The technical development ensures a modern website that will remain technically up to date for many years to come. The commercial future-proofing means that Vardemuseerne can also use the same technical structure from Museum Flugt and Tirpitz Museum for future museum additions. <\/p>\n<\/div>
