WordPress Elementor may seem appealing because it is fast and visual \u2013 but we never recommend it. Simply because it makes it far too easy for a site to look wrong, perform poorly on mobile, and become heavy to maintain. This negatively affects the user experience and the maintenance of the site. <\/p><\/div>\n

What is WordPress Elementor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Elementor is a so-called page builder for WordPress. It makes it possible to build pages by dragging and dropping elements directly in a visual interface \u2013 without having to code. You can adjust everything from fonts and margins to buttons and image sizes directly in the interface. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It sounds smart \u2013 and it can<\/em> be smart. But this is also exactly where the problems arise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The advantages and disadvantages of Elementor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The advantage of Elementor is obvious: You can build beautiful pages without knowing how to code. You see the design live, and it is easy to get started. So far, so good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the disadvantages quickly outweigh the benefits \u2013 especially if you work professionally with the web:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we recommend instead<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We build all our WordPress solutions<\/a> with Gutenberg<\/a> \u2013 WordPress\u2019 own block-based editing system. It is more scalable, faster, and far more future-proof. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you would like a bit more freedom without using Elementor, SiteOrigin can also be a middle ground. But for us, Gutenberg is the obvious choice<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It allows you to edit content without breaking the design, and it ensures that the technical foundation is clean, responsive<\/a>, and fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
