You can also achieve a more consistent and comparable analysis of your marketing campaigns across platforms. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You are also reusing something that you hopefully know works, so the likelihood that it will continue to work is, of course, greater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> The options in LinkedIn are, broadly speaking, a \u201clight\u201d version of the options in Google Ads and Meta Ads. The few options <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"saadan\">How to reuse your tracking from GA4 and Google Ads<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To reuse your tracking from <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-google-analytics\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"63797\">GA4<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/hvad-er-google-ads\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"63683\">Google Ads<\/a> for LinkedIn, follow these steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Create variables and triggers in Tag Manager<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, you need to create the necessary variables and triggers in Tag Manager. These variables and triggers will tell <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-google-tag-manager\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"63791\">Tag Manager<\/a> when a conversion has occurred on LinkedIn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mt-blog-post-text-box mt-blog-post-text-box\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__inner page-container\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__box\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can reuse the same <strong>variables<\/strong> and <strong>triggers<\/strong> you have already created for GA4 and Google Ads.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Adapt tags for LinkedIn tracking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next step is to adapt tags in Tag Manager to track conversions on LinkedIn. You can use the same tags you have created for GA4 and Google Ads and simply modify them to fit LinkedIn tracking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Implement tracking on LinkedIn<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now it is time to implement your tracking on LinkedIn. You need to add your Tag Manager container ID to the LinkedIn Insight Tag. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This will ensure that your tracking works correctly and that conversion data is sent to GA4 and Google Ads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Test and validate your tracking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have implemented your tracking on LinkedIn, it is important to test and validate it. Run conversion tests to ensure that the data is recorded correctly in GA4 and Google Ads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mt-blog-post-text-box mt-blog-post-text-box\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__inner page-container\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__box\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also use<strong> Tag Assistant<\/strong> or <strong>Google Analytics\u2019 real-time reports<\/strong> to confirm that the conversion data is being sent correctly.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"whydoit\">What do you gain by reusing your tracking?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By reusing your tracking from GA4 and Google Ads for LinkedIn, you can achieve several benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to optimise your marketing efforts on LinkedIn based on valuable insights from GA4 and Google Ads.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A more consistent analysis of your marketing campaigns across platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to target your campaigns based on conversions on LinkedIn.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Better comparability of results and performance across platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hvornaar\">When should you consider reusing your tracking?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before you start reusing your tracking from GA4 and Google Ads for LinkedIn, there are a few factors you should consider:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your marketing budget:<\/strong> It may be a good idea to spend at least<strong> DKK 5,000\u201310,000 per month<\/strong> on LinkedIn campaigns before it makes sense to start focusing on conversion tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Possible conversion actions:<\/strong> You should also consider whether it makes sense to focus on specific conversion actions on LinkedIn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, it may be more valuable for you to bid on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Users who have watched more than 1 minute of a video<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users who have visited the contact page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users who have visited a showroom page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users who have added something to a cart.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or similar, rather than only \u201chard\u201d conversions such as contact forms and calls, if the volume of these is too low for a bidding engine to act on the dataset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"eksempel\">Example<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An example of reusing tracking from GA4 and Google Ads for LinkedIn is, for instance, \u2018Invest in Odense\u2019, which uses LinkedIn Ads to find exciting startups and scaleups within technical topics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By reusing their tracking from GA4 and Google Ads, they can identify companies that may be interested in setting up an office or collaborating in Odense in the long term, based on their interaction with Invest in Odense.<\/p>\n\n\n                                            <\/div>\n        <div class=\"mt-blog-post-content__small-related-posts\">\n                                <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The basic options in LinkedIn for targeting and bid adjustments are very limited and revolve largely around the audience\u2019s titles, job function, or background\u2014not so much their behaviour.
