In other words, how many are interested in buying your product or service and could therefore potentially become customers? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And how many of these then become customers?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The calculation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let us assume that we estimate that, out of the 100 contact form submissions, 50 of them result in 5 actual customers, and an average customer generates revenue of DKK 100,000 with a bottom line of DKK 25,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mt-blog-post-text-box mt-blog-post-text-box\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__inner page-container\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__box\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The formula:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, revenue per contact form can be calculated as: <strong>5 \/ 100 * 100.000 = 5.000,-<\/strong><br>And the bottom line per contact form: <strong>5 \/ 100 * 25.000 = 1.250,-<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you use revenue or bottom line as your conversion value in <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/meet-ga4-your-new-best-data-friend\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"63721\">Google Analytics 4<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-google-ads\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"63683\">Google Ads<\/a>, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, etc. should depend on your business goals: What matters right now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Is it cost minimisation &#8211; then it is bottom line<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is it scaling &#8211; then use revenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The extended method:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have played around with the basic method but want to be a bit more precise in your attribution of conversion values, you should calculate them per enquiry type:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Email<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-call-tracking\/\">Phone<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead forms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Book a demo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brochure download<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whitepaper download<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Newsletter sign-ups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Example: If you run a plumbing business, you will probably find that forms are more valuable to you than phone calls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People call more often when a pipe has burst then there is no time to wait for a form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But when a house is being fully renovated, you may turn to a contact form so, as a customer, you can provide more information to you as a potential supplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The dedicated method:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now we turn up the heat and the data nerdiness!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the help of <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-google-tag-manager\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"63791\">Google Tag Manager<\/a>, conversion values can be adjusted depending on factors such as device type, geography, time of day, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You still run a plumbing business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For you, phone calls are hardly created equal.
