It is beneficial to have online reviews in search results, as they help improve your credibility, increase your conversion rate, and reduce the time customers spend researching your product or service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you add star ratings to Google\u2019s search results, you will be able to display your hard-earned reviews immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1403\" height=\"456\" src=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/review-schema-eksempel.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-63597\" srcset=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/review-schema-eksempel.png 1403w, https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/review-schema-eksempel-300x98.png 300w, https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/review-schema-eksempel-1024x333.png 1024w, https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/review-schema-eksempel-768x250.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1403px) 100vw, 1403px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The two methods for adding star ratings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can either add a review of your business to your \u2018Local Business Schema\u2019, which we covered in the previous guide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or you can add a review of a product that your business sells.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before we begin, it is important to note that <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-google\/hvad-er-google-2\/\">Google<\/a> operates in its own world, and WE cannot guarantee that Google will display your SERP enhancement, but we can say that if you have implemented both \u201cstar ratings\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/guide-how-to-add-faq-schema\/\">FAQ<\/a> (which we cover in the next guide), Google will only show one of the two. In most cases, it will be your \u201cstar ratings\u201d that are displayed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this guide, you will learn how to add reviews to your products, which has the best chance of being displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"guiden\"><strong>Here is what you need to have ready:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Struktureret-data-template-til-anmeldelser.docx\">Our template<\/a> (opens in a Word document)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The product reviews<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Product information (company logo, product images, and product description)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"667\" height=\"771\" src=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/review-schema-eksempel-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-63599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/review-schema-eksempel-2.png 667w, https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/review-schema-eksempel-2-260x300.png 260w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*the template you downloaded should look as shown above<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If it looks correct, the following applies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Everything you see in PURPLE must remain exactly as it is. Note: it is important that you do not delete commas, quotation marks, or anything else written in PURPLE. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Everything written in RED must be edited to match the information from YOUR business.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When filling out the template, you must not press ENTER at any point, as it changes the code and it will no longer work.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, so good. Now I recommend that you double-check the information you have entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Once you have entered and checked your information, proceed to this step<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select all and copy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insert the information between     tags on your website. Note: if you only insert it on one page, we recommend doing it on the homepage. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well done! You are now officially on your way to becoming more visible on Google. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you use <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/wordpress-the-obvious-choice\/\">WordPress<\/a> and would rather use a plugin to add your script to the header, see the example below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"553\" src=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/wordpress-schema-plugin-reviews-1024x553.jpg\" alt=\"WordPress schema plugin reviews\" class=\"wp-image-45521\" srcset=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/wordpress-schema-plugin-reviews-1024x553.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/wordpress-schema-plugin-reviews-300x162.jpg 300w, https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/wordpress-schema-plugin-reviews.jpg 1473w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is an example where we use a custom solution on our own website, built by our developers, but you can also download a free plugin such as <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/head-footer-code\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Head &amp; Footer Code<\/a> or any other plugin that allows you to add scripts to your site header.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you need a more detailed explanation of how to add structured data to your website, you can read <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/guide-add-structured-data-to-your-website\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"64162\">this blog post<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After you have filled out the template and added it to the site header, go to: <a href=\"https:\/\/search.google.com\/test\/rich-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/search.google.com\/test\/rich-results<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Copy the link to your website or the page where you added the script, paste it into the search field, and click the \u201ctest url\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have set everything up correctly, your screen should look like the image above, with two green check marks in your Review snippet section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You now have both your \u2018average\u2019 star rating AND the one from the individual review shown in your code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is now up to Google to decide which one to display. Normally, it will be the individual review. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And hey! That went really well.
