It can also be done via an API. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The information is passed into Google Ads along with all the conversions that are forwarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> Similar options exist for Meta Ads if you use <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrack.dk\/server-side-tracking\/\">server-side tracking<\/a> (also called the \u2018Conversion <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-an-api\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"60636\">API<\/a>\u2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Here, you would be able to submit data such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>email address (em)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IP address (client_ip_address)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>name (fn and ln)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>phone number (ph)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In other words, the Enhanced Conversions concept is an extension of regular conversion tracking, where, as a business, you can get more out of your Google and Meta Ads by sending more information about the conversions into the platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hvadfaar\">What do you get out of it?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With Enhanced Conversions, Google Ads can better match a user to a conversion. This can be particularly beneficial in cases where a user has clicked an ad but only fills out a contact form several days later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mt-blog-post-text-box mt-blog-post-text-box\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__inner page-container\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__box\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this way, it becomes easier to build a picture of your leads\u2019 customer journey, and a previous visitor is less likely to be mistaken for a new visitor because a cookie has been deleted in the meantime.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-block-paragraph\">Example 1:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anders clicks a <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/lead-generation\/google-ads-agency\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"64435\">Google Ads<\/a> ad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anders\u2019 cookie expires after 7 days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After 10 days, the user submits a contact form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the contact form, Anders has entered \u201canders@virksomhed.dk\u201d as his email address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anders is, or has also been, logged in to his Google account with this email address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Google Ads can now link the initial click to the contact form. Otherwise, it would not have been able to do so. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Example 2:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anders clicks a Google Ads ad from his work computer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anders goes on his mobile, and he fills out a contact form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the contact form, Anders has entered \u201canders@virksomhed.dk\u201d as his email address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anders is, or has also been, logged in to his Google account with this email address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Google can now link the work-computer visit and the mobile contact form. Otherwise, it would not have been able to do so. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anders is also logged in to his Google account with this email address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This results in generally better tracking and\u2014especially for longer buying journeys\u2014more tracked conversions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a world where the buying journey takes place across multiple devices and over a longer period, Enhanced Conversions is worth its weight in gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"gdpr\">Is Enhanced Conversions GDPR-compliant?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I know what you are thinking, and YES, Enhanced Conversions is GDPR-compliant, provided that you have obtained active consent via, for example, Cookiebot or Cookieinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mt-blog-post-text-box mt-blog-post-text-box\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__inner page-container\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__box\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also recommended to encrypt the data with HASH to avoid other tools potentially hacking their way to the data.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So you do not need to get out your GDPR whistle\u2014I am not going to suggest anything that conflicts with an EU directive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"fordel\">Who can benefit from Enhanced Conversions?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enhanced Conversions is relevant for you if you already have a solid tracking setup, have upgraded with server-side tracking, and want to collect even more data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>It is particularly relevant for you if the following also applies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You spend <strong>DKK 10,000&lt;<\/strong> each month.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You get <strong>some<\/strong> conversions each month.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your customers\u2019 decision-making process is <strong>longer than 24 hours<\/strong> (the lifetime of a cookie).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your potential customers are worth <strong>DKK 15,000&lt;<\/strong> to you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your target audience\u2019s decision-making process<strong> takes place across different devices<\/strong> (mobile, tablet, work computer, personal computer, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By the way, if you combine Enhanced Conversions with <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/get-10-more-data-with-google-ads-native-tracking\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"63376\">Google Ads native tracking<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-google-consent-mode\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"63983\">Google Consent Mode<\/a>, you suddenly have the ultimate \u201ctracking hub\u201d with both more and better data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"implementering\">How do you implement Enhanced Conversions?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no way around needing some JavaScript (code) to do this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The easiest way to implement Enhanced Conversions is to configure your contact forms to send name, email, phone number, address, and IP address as a data layer event when the form is submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In other words, you will need a developer or a <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/lead-generation\/google-ads-agency\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"64435\">Google Ads agency<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This data can then be sent to Google Ads through <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-google-tag-manager\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"63791\">Google Tag Manager<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n                                            <\/div>\n        <div class=\"mt-blog-post-content__small-related-posts\">\n                                <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Learn how to better track long buying journeys, which are often the case in all B2B scenarios.
