And most software offers MCPs that make the connection between AI and the platform even easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have previously written about how connecting your data sources to Claude or ChatGPT allows you to &#8220;chat with your data&#8221; &#8211; simply asking your AI model a question and receiving an answer based on all your data sources. You can read more about chatting with data in this post.<br><br><br>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The problem is that all sensitive or identifiable data (<a href=\"#pii\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#pii\">PII<\/a>) comes along with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Names<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Email addresses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Order details<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Messages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Phone numbers of your customers\u2019 employees <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And much more is sent directly and unfiltered to the AI provider. Neither we nor your customers have agreed to that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You also send a lot of data to the US, and your data is used for training and a whole lot of other things that are a big \u201cNoNo\u201d under GDPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"mt-text-highlight\">That is why we built Morningbrain.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mt-blog-post-text-box mt-blog-post-text-box\" id=\"pii\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__inner page-container\"><div class=\"mt-blog-post-text-box__box\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is PII?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PII stands for Personally Identifiable Information. It is anything that can point to a specific person, such as a name, an email address, or a phone number. It is exactly the type of data that fills a CRM and that you are responsible for.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"saadan\">How Morningbrain works<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Morningbrain is our company brain: an application that sits between your systems and the AI and runs on our own servers. It connects to <a href=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/en\/what-is-crm-and-what-can-you-use-a-crm-system-for\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"47889\">CRM<\/a>, resource planning, time tracking, task management, and tracking. When you ask Claude to fetch, for example, deals from Pipedrive, the request goes through Morningbrain &#8211; and three things happen before the answer comes back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"900\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1600 \/ 900;\" width=\"1600\" autoplay loop muted src=\"https:\/\/morningtrain.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/morningbrain-animation-en.mp4\" playsinline><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, Morningbrain checks that you have access to the system you are asking about. You only see your own limited slice of the data. Then it masks the personal data in the response, so Claude never sees it.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, it logs the lookup, so you can always see who accessed which data, and when.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"direkte\">Direct connection or Morningbrain?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The one-click connector gets you up and running faster. But you pay for that speed in three ways: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Everyone in the organisation typically gets the same access level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is no log of who has seen what. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And personal data leaves the business unfiltered. Claude does not need to know the contact person\u2019s name to tell you which deals over DKK 200,000 are stuck in the proposal stage. Company name, deal value, and stage remain intact. Put a layer in between that controls access, masks personal data, and logs lookups. It takes a little longer to get started, but then you can use AI on your sales data without ending up with a compliance problem afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We set up the same setup for our customers.
