Dansk Skoleidræt’s new visual identity supports the mission
Dansk Skoleidræt is based in Funen but works to enhance learning, health, and well-being for school students across the country through sports, play, and physical activity. They wanted to highlight this in a new visual identity, which they planned to use, among other things, in connection with their move to new premises.
In addition, they wanted to implement the new identity on a new website that would bring all their activities together in one unified platform.




The Result
A Logo in Motion
Dansk Skoleidræt’s new visual identity conveys a much stronger sense of movement and joy than the previous one. In particular, their new logo featuring a figure in motion highlights their mission to promote all students’ learning and well-being through sports and physical activity.
The logo was created through a thorough design process that, in addition to workshops with Dansk Skoleidræt, drew inspiration from sources such as children’s drawings and images of children in motion. For example, the small icon in the logo is a fusion of a star constellation and an image of a child in motion.

The Process
Workshops and Dialogue
The collaboration with Danish School Sports began with a workshop where we learned more about the organization and their wishes. Afterward, our designer started creating 10 different proposals for the new logo.
Based on the 10 logo drafts, we conducted an exercise with Danish School Sports where they (without talking to each other) had to choose which logo best matched what they wanted to communicate.
Once they had decided on their new logo, we developed the remaining elements such as font, colors, icon style, and graphic elements that completed their visual identity. We then used this as a visual guideline in developing their new website.

Collaboration
Close Dialogue and Sparring
The process with Danish School Sports has been characterized throughout by strong collaboration, with close dialogue including regular status meetings.
Additionally, our workshops together gave us a deep understanding of Danish School Sports’ mission and objectives, which is crucial when designing a new visual identity and logo.
Finally, we experienced really good chemistry, which also helped make this an exciting project for both parties.
