Jacob Bartholdy
Head of PPC
My many years as a high-level handball player have in many ways created a natural bridge to my passion and work in online marketing, which I began to take an interest in during my studies.
I am driven by high performance, and that mindset has been highly transferable from the world of sports to the commercial challenges I solve for our clients today.
A little more about me:
I am extremely diligent and perfectionistic about my work, and I do not like being bad at anything.
That is why I describe myself as a nerd, because I simply cannot help putting in the extra effort required to upskill my professional abilities.
A good workday:
Is when, after a long time of head-scratching, you finally hit the nail on the head regarding a given problem, or have a breakthrough on a case you had been stuck on.
For example: I had a client who was experiencing issues with their product feed for Google Shopping, where a couple of agencies had to throw in the towel. After two weeks of tinkering in the system, I finally cracked it and resolved the issue.
I am perceived as:
Friendly, approachable, and relationship-building. I am the kind of specialist who identifies needs through lots of questions to hit the nail on the head in each individual case. I am extremely attentive, reflective, and empathetic.
Fun facts:
- On a safari trip to Africa, I had to equip myself with panty liners because a small bacterium had taken up residence in my stomach.
- My main character in WoW had over 750 days of playtime.
- I have an unholy love/hate relationship with Manchester United.
