KLIFO faced a challenge in creating visibility in a complex industry and reaching new customers. They had many in-house capabilities but lacked external inspiration and the right platforms to break through.

With an external CMO from Morningtrain leading the way, we set up a targeted marketing setup including a new website, Google marketing, LeadInfo, and strengthened content production, enabling KLIFO to position itself more clearly in the market.

Result

In a short time, KLIFO achieved sharper brand positioning and communication, as well as increased visibility and more relevant enquiries—without having to build a large in-house marketing department.

A flexible CMO solution that creates visibility

Our collaboration with KLIFO was structured so that, for a period, we acted as their external CMO. This meant KLIFO had one dedicated person from us, who worked on-site with them on set weekdays and advised on their marketing efforts. In addition to collaborating with KLIFO’s own internal resources, the external CMO drew on all the skilled specialists we have available at Morningtrain.

This gave KLIFO a marketing engine that could be scaled without needing to build a large in-house marketing department. When there was no longer a need for an interim CMO, the collaboration continued, with our specialists still managing parts of their digital channels.

With Morningtrain as their external CMO, KLIFO has achieved results across channels. A new setup with sharper brand positioning, a new website, content production, and initiatives across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and LeadInfo has, among other things, given them:

  • More qualified leads from the right decision-makers
  • Greater visibility in a global and competitive industry

Lack of visibility slowed growth

Although KLIFO has many strong in-house capabilities, they lacked a broader reach for their knowledge and services. The challenge was to create visibility and reach new customers in a complex industry, where communication can quickly risk becoming too internal and “KLIFO-centric.”

That is why they needed an external partner who could both challenge them and execute quickly across platforms. In particular, the focus has been on content production in the form of images and video for their website and social media. This is precisely an area where we often see companies struggle to execute on their own.

A partner who understands the business

Before the collaboration, KLIFO were concerned about whether an external partner could understand an industry as complex as Life Science. After just a few weeks, however, they experienced that we understood their business and target audience and could translate that into digital visibility.
