Lead generation

Get more of your website visitors to contact you on mobile
If your business depends on people calling, writing, or filling out a form, they need to be able to do it from the page they are on. See how a fixed bottom menu on mobile can generate more contact clicks and more logged calls.

24% more logged calls per mobile visit
For a client whose business depends on people calling and writing, the number of logged calls per mobile visit increased by 24% after we added a fixed bottom menu with contact buttons.
Even though mobile traffic fell by 12%, the total number of logged calls rose from 119 to 130 per week. In other words, the client got more calls from fewer visits.
A shorter path from interest to contact
Imagine a buyer who finds the right spare part on your website on mobile. She wants to ask about the delivery time, but first has to open the menu, find the contact page, and choose a department.
The easier it is for her to reach the right person, the faster your sales team can help her move forward.
One solution can be to make the call and message buttons visible in a fixed bottom menu on mobile while the visitor reads and scrolls. On local pages, the buttons should take the visitor directly to the local contact person.
The numbers point to a difference
To assess the change, we also compared it with desktop visits, where we did not make the change. Here, logged calls per 100 visits fell by 14%.
This means that a smaller share of desktop visits led to a call, while a larger share of mobile visits did. Unlike before the launch, when mobile and desktop broadly tracked each other.
This supports our assessment that the bottom menu has made it easier for mobile visitors to get in touch.
Try it yourself on mobile
Open one of your most important product or service pages: Can a potential customer contact the right department immediately – even after scrolling?
If the answer is no, start there. Make phone, email, or form into clear, fixed buttons, depending on how your customers best move forward. Make sure the buttons do not cover the content, and that enquiries reach the right people.
Then keep an eye on whether the change generates more enquiries from the website. That way, you can see whether shortening the path to contact helps for you as well.
