3 routines all leaders can use to achieve more goals
To help leaders navigate their day-to-day tasks more effectively, here are three routines I can warmly recommend that all leaders use to achieve more of their strategic goals.

Routine 1: Strategic & revenue-generating activities
Set aside time for tasks that contribute to the company’s growth, such as strategic planning or “money-making” or “growth-creating” activities—depending on what you want to create in your business.
This principle, from the book “The 12 Week Year”, ensures that high-impact activities receive the attention they deserve.

Routine 2: “Break-out” sessions for skill development & reading
Allocate time specifically for skill development and reading. For example, these days I am reading “The DevOps Handbook”.
This can provide fresh insights and foster innovative ideas that can become valuable solutions.
Routine 3: 1 hour of active team sport (Optional & not possible for everyone)
This is optional and may not be possible for everyone. At Morningtrain, we spend 1 hour being active with our team once a week—where we play hockey.
It strengthens team spirit, boosts morale, and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
In addition, it breaks down silos and titles, and promotes collegiality and relationships across the organisation.
