The SEO Journey – 18 tips for your search engine optimization
This is our free e-book about SEO. Here you will find 18 practical tips you can use to improve your website’s SEO.

Introduction to the e-book
We chose to call it “The SEO Journey – Never get stuck with your SEO” because the book takes you through all aspects of search engine optimization and how you can continuously improve your SEO efforts.
The book contains a total of 18 tips, divided into three parts:
- Part 1: Keyword research
- Part 2: Basic optimization
- Part 3: Ongoing maintenance
Why an e-book about SEO?
As a digital agency with expertise in, among other things, online marketing, we cannot ignore that SEO is one of the strongest marketing tools available.
If you and your company want to be found online—and in search engines—SEO is the way forward.
However, even with extensive SEO experience, starting a new project can feel overwhelming (on your own or with help from an SEO agency).
Starting completely from scratch is therefore—quite understandably—even more daunting.
SEO is also a complex and sometimes lengthy process. And it is a process that requires you to stay focused.
Search engine optimization is simply an extremely powerful tool for increasing awareness of your product, your company, and your strengths.
That is why we created this “SEO optimization guide”—to help you get off to a great start.

Part 1: Keyword research
The first part of the e-book takes you through keyword research and the importance of being thorough in this process.
These tips guide you through various tools you can use to get off to a good start—or to help you contribute ideas during the brainstorming process if you have hit a wall.
One particularly important point is that you must take keyword research seriously.
Be thorough. And ask for help one time too many rather than one time too few—there may be words or terms you have overlooked. Or ones that should be removed from your list entirely because you do not want to be found for them.
Find help in the book, in your network, and by using the tools Amalie and Martin mention in their tips.
Start slowly
Another important point you will find in the first part of the book is closely related to what I wrote above—namely, being thorough in your brainstorming.
And with SEO work in general.
Start slowly—and analyze every step you take. What works? What does not?
Remember your target audience. And do your search engine optimization with them in mind—they are the ones who need to find you, so they are also the ones you should address.
And know your industry. Your SEO work can depend greatly on whether you operate in the B2B or B2C space.
You will learn more about all of this in the first part of the e-book.
Part 2: Basic optimization
This part is largely about managing your website and its content.
Part 2 guides you through why it is important to have, among other things, user-friendly URLs, optimized load time, why duplicate content is a no-go, and the importance of good, well-written copy.
Your website must be structured correctly—but how?
To increase your success rate in search engine optimization, you must also remember to optimize your website or webshop.
You can do this, for example, by using user-friendly URLs and domain names.
Another thing you can do is to ensure you have your website’s load time under control.
It matters more than you might think.
If your website takes more than three seconds to load, 40% will leave—and you can avoid that by following Amalie’s advice.
Part 3: Ongoing maintenance
Once you have completed the initial phases of keyword research (which—surprise—is an ongoing process) and have more or less mastered the basic optimization of your website, it is important to maintain the work you have started.
Create an optimization plan
To achieve optimal results from your SEO, you must not give up or stop analyzing, measuring, or optimizing your efforts.
SEO is a medium-term investment—and it takes time.
But the results follow—and it works.
In the third and final part of the e-book, we provide practical tips on how to maintain your SEO work at regular intervals.
We hope this blog post has sparked something in you—perhaps even a desire to kickstart your SEO journey.
